McCormack welcomes funding

Nationals’ Member for Riverina Michael McCormack has welcomed Federal funding initiatives for three Riverina high schools.
 
Kildare Catholic College in Wagga Wagga, Gundagai High, and Tumut High were each rewarded a significant amount of money under the Australian Government’s Trade Training Centres in Schools Program.
 
“This is a great start to the 2012 school year for these three high schools,” Mr McCormack said.
 
“Each high school will be putting their funding towards exciting initiatives which will benefit students of all ages, particularly providing vocational pathways which are important for secondary schools these days.


 
“The funding will go towards refurbishing commercial kitchens and provide equipmwent at Gundagai and Tumut while at Kildare a construction workshop will be built to deliver certificate II qualifications in construction to address and build skill shortages in the trades of bricklayer, carpenter and floor tiler.
