McCormack ‘honoured’ by Parliamentary Secretary role

RIVERINA MP Michael McCormack has said he is honoured by his promotion as Parliamentary
Secretary to the Minister for Finance.

“This is a real honour and I very much look forward to the challenges this role will offer,” Mr McCormack said.

“Having helped start my own small business, I look forward to working in the new Coalition Government to make the economy stronger and help small business prosper.

“Small business is undoubtedly the engine room of the economy and the Coalition understands its importance,” Mr McCormack said.

Mr McCormack said his promotion will not affect his primary role as the Riverina’s advocate in the Federal Parliament.

“I will continue to put the Riverina first in Government and fight for our region in Canberra.”

Mr McCormack will be sworn in as the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Finance, Senator Mathias Cormann, in Canberra on Wednesday.
