Another Win for Gundagai

ANOTHER Gundagai School has benefited from Commonwealth funding to upgrade facilities, with Federal Member for Riverina Michael McCormack’s announcement of $470,744 from the Coalition Government’s Capital Grants Programme for St Patrick’s Primary School.

“I’m pleased and proud the Australian Government has made this funding available,” Mr McCormack said.

The Coalition is committed to providing the very best facilities for all students in Australia.

“The funding will finance the much-needed extensions of classrooms and with additional money provided by the school community will ensure children have a better learning environment,” Mr McCormack said.

The funding comes on top of the Commonwealth providing Gundagai High with $983,000 for their Trades Training Centre last year.

Mr McCormack travelled to Gundagai on Saturday night to make the announcement during St Patrick’s Catholic Church Mass.

St Patrick’s Principal, Mrs Mary Quinane, and Parish Priest, Fr Bernard Hennessy, were delighted with the announcement.
