LATEST ROUND OF VOLUNTEER GRANTS OPEN FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST

26 February 2026

Federal Member for Riverina Michael McCormack is inviting community groups to apply for funding under the 2025-26 Volunteer Grants Round, which is now open for expressions of interest (EOI).

Mr McCormack said a total of $66,665 has been allocated to the Riverina electorate to support eligible not-for-profit organisations whose volunteers assist our community.

Each eligible applicant may apply for a grant valued between $1,000 and $5,000.

“Volunteers are the backbone of regional communities, and the Riverina electorate is no exception,” Mr McCormack said.

“The Volunteer Grant program is a wonderful opportunity to help support volunteers’ efforts and I look forward to seeing more organisations across the region benefit under the latest round of funding.”

Those interested in putting in an expression of interest should go to the GrantConnect website (https://bit.ly/4s6TiIT) to carefully read the criteria as they have been modified from previous years.

Further information about the Volunteer Grants program, including requesting an EOI
form, can be obtained via Mr McCormack’s Wagga Wagga Electorate Office on (02) 6921 4600 or by email at [email protected]

The EOI period closes at 5pm on Tuesday 31 March 2026. Mr McCormack will then consult with a local advisory committee on which EOIs progress to the application stage. Successful EOIs will be invited to apply for a grant.
