SUBJECT: ELECTION PRE-POLL FITZMAURICE STREET, WAGGA WAGGA
E&OE
STARTS 9.16AM

MICHAEL McCORMACK:
People are exercising their right to vote early for a number of reasons, they may be going away, they might not be around Wagga Wagga or indeed the Riverina electorate on Election Day. So, pre-poll has become a huge part of election process. There is a number of reasons to pre-poll, in the past they had to have a reasonable excuse to why they were pre-polling. These days it is just a matter of turning up, going in and signing off and exercising their democratic right to vote and hopefully that will be for me. But you never know, you put your credentials out there you put your experience out there – you put your reputable delivery. That is what I have done, I don’t want to get too far ahead of myself, but we have a plan to get Australia back on track. I am hoping that find that, I know I have got a lot of head nods when I am talking about the petrol-tax reduction.
That will certainly add up with the cost-of-living crisis that has come under Labor’s watch. For the people of the Riverina – with brand new electorate boundaries, it is a big new electorate, so I don’t take anything for granted, I don’t take any vote for granted. We are out there with our plan and presenting ourselves as we always do as Nationals.
