THE Australian Government continues to lead the way in on-time payments to business, Small Business Minister Michael McCormack says.
Releasing the Government’s Pay On-Time Survey today, Mr McCormack said the survey measures agency performance against a 90 per cent benchmark, in terms of the number of invoices under $1 million paid within 30 days
Levelling the playing field for small business
A LANDMARK review of Australian competition policy, introduced into Federal Parliament this week, backs small businesses to grow, innovate and create more jobs, Small Business Minister Michael McCormack says.
Mr McCormack said the Competition and Consumer Amendment (Competition Policy Review) Bill 2017, implements a number of recommendations from the Harper Review to back small business.

Funding to help sporting groups kick illegal drugs out of the game
The Nationals’ Federal Member for Riverina and Minister for Small Business is encouraging sporting leagues in the Riverina to take part in an Australian Government program to reduce the impact of illegal drugs on Australian communities.
As part of the Government’s National Ice Action Strategy, the Good Sports program is being expanded with an additional $4.6 million in funding to include a new education module on tackling illegal drugs.
Commemorating Comm Games with currency

NBN rolling out in Forbes
The Nationals’ Federal Member for Riverina and Minister for Small Business has welcomed the news in excess of 3,600 homes and businesses in Forbes will soon have access to faster and more reliable internet access, with construction of the National Broadband Network now under way.
“The good news for Forbes is that better broadband is on its way,” Mr McCormack said.
