Following on from the success of the “Get out of the City” campaign, The Nationals’ Federal Member for Riverina and Minister for Small Business Michael McCormack has called on the Senate Finance and Public Administration Committee to hold a public hearing into decentralisation in the Riverina electorate.

Funding now available for the Bridges Renewal Programme
Councils throughout the Riverina and Central West now have the chance to fix local bridges in poor condition with the help of direct funding from the Federal Government.
The third round of funding under the $360 million Bridges Renewal Programme is now open and the Nationals’ Federal Member for Riverina and Minister for Small Business, Michael McCormack is encouraging local councils across the electorate to apply for funding.

Interim ban imposed on unsafe ethanol burners
SMALL Business Minister Michael McCormack has today imposed an interim ban to prevent the supply of certain types of decorative alcohol fuelled devices, also known as ethanol burners.
Mr McCormack imposed this interim ban following advice from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) that some ethanol burners create a risk of serious injury.
