Small business stars in Government procurement stats
ALMOST a third of total Australian Government contracts were won by Australian small businesses in the 2015/16 financial year, AusTender data has confirmed.Valued at $5.5 billion, Small Business Minister Michael McCormack said the reporting period demonstrates the Coalition’s commitment to encouraging Australian small businesses to apply for Australian Government contracts.

Residents of Cowra and the surrounding area are set to enter the internet fast lane according to the Nationals’ MP and Minister for Small Business Michael McCormack, as the whole town is now fully live with both fixed line and wireless National Broadband Network (NBN), making superfast broadband available to almost 5000 homes and businesses.

Five thousand premises can now access the NBN as both fixed line and wireless services go live this week making superfast broadband available to both homes and businesses.

Confidence surges in small business
CONFIDENCE among Australia’s small and medium enterprises has lifted eight points – to a net balance of plus 46 – in the latest Sensis Business Index (December 2016), confirming the bright future for business, Small Business Minister Michael McCormack says.
“Today’s report shows small business confidence has surged and is now sitting at a six-year high, confirmed by small businesses themselves,” Mr McCormack said.

SMALL business payment terms, times and practices are in the spotlight thanks to an inquiry of the Australian Small Business and Family Enterprise Ombudsman, Small Business Minister Michael McCormack says.“In the six months I have been Australia’s Small Business Minister, I have travelled the country listening to the concerns, ideas and feedback from as many small businesses as I can,” Mr McCormack said.
